Missoula County MSU Extension Service Weed District

4-H Clubs

In 4-H, youth have the opportunity to:

  • Learn how to get along with others
  • Be part of a team
  • Accept responsibility for choices made
  • Build self confidence

478 youth participate in the Missoula County 4-H program. Every 4-H member belongs to a 4-H Club, of which there are 17 clubs to choose from in Missoula County. There is no limit to the number of clubs operating, so new clubs can be formed as well.

4-H clubs have regular meetings at which Parliamentary Procedure is practiced, community service projects are organized and accomplished, fundraising skills learned, and fund social events are held.

4-H youth must be 9 years of age during the 4-H year (October 1st to September 30th). A variety of project areas are available. Please refer to the 4-H Clover for details.
