Lower Blackfoot River Leafy Spurge Project is a coordinated effort between public and private landowners on the Blackfoot River, to reduce the spread of leafy spurge within the river cooridor. The coordinated effort oversees the treatment of leafy spurge (within the highwater mark) from River Junction Fishing Access to Weighstation Fishing Access. The Blackfoot Challenge is a nationally recognized non-profit dedicated the natural resources and rural way of life in the Blackfoot Watershed. Noxious weeds is one of the many issues that the Blackfoot Challenge addresses. This group prides itself on maintaining an open door policy for all landowners (public and private) in the Blackfoot River Drainage and has forged relationships many other landowner groups in this area.
