What is the Noxious Weed
Reporting System?

  • This system is use to help the weed district locate noxious weeds of highest concern. The system allows people to report these weeds in a accurate and consistent manner. The map provides latitude and longitude so weed district personnel can quickly find these invaders.

How to use Weed Reporter

  1. Using the navigation tools in the upper left corner of the map, you move around the map and zoom in and out.
  2. When you have located the site you wish to report, use the left mouse button to mark the point a red marker will appear.
  3. You should see the latitude and longitude fields filled in. Now fill in the species field (note- not all species in Missoula county are listed only the species of most concern) fill in size of patch sighted best guess is good enough.
  4. Fill in as much of the contact info as you wish and check the box if you would like us to contact you.
  5. Click the submit button and the form will be sent to Jed Little, GIS Data Coordinator
  6. By using the reset button you can clear the form and start over or clear the form and send another sighting
  7. You can click the map as many times as needed to get the right location
