Expanded Food & Nutrition Education Program
EFNEP is a nutrition education program for limited-resource families with children as well as youth. The main goal of EFNEP is to help limited-resource families and youth acquire the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to change behavior for nutritional well-being.
EFNEP offers a series of hands-on cooking and nutrition classes for both adults and youth. Food tasting and dollar stretching ideas are included in all classes.
ADULT - Nutrition educators teach a series of eight cooking and nutrition classes to limited resource adults with children in small groups. The classes are 1 - 1½ hours. Click on Adult at the left for more information.
YOUTH - Limited-income children ages 6 to 12 are taught nutrition and cooking skills at Title One Schools in Missoula County.
