X-WR-CALDESC:Our Dahlia collection is evolving with each passing season. Gu
 ided by an experienced team of volunteers\, we continue to add new varieti
 es while eliminating those that don't meet our standards. The result is a 
 diverse array of dahlias that cover the spectrum of form\, color\, and siz
 e. We intend to steward a collection that draws visitors from near and far
 !\n\nWhat will volunteers do?\nVolunteers will remove tubers from the gard
 en beds. This will require the use of tools\, primarily digging forks\, an
 d the ability to kneel or bend to pull the tubers out of the ground. Volun
 teers will also be washing the soil off of the tubers to prepare them for 
 storage. This task can be done while standing. Waterproof aprons and glove
 s will be provided.\n\nNOTE: Tubers will be divided the following day\, an
  indoor activity for which volunteers can be seated.\n\nWhat will voluntee
 rs need to bring or wear?\nPlease wear closed toed shoes and dress appropr
 iately to be outdoors. This can be a dirty process\, so wear clothing you 
 don't mind getting dirty!\n\nREGISTRATION REQUIRED. Please register on POI
 NT* using the link below!\n\n.\nOur volunteers experience a hands-on educa
 tional opportunity in this beautiful public space. Work alongside our expe
 rt staff\, and familiarize yourself with the vast variety of plantings the
  gardens have to offer.  \n\nVolunteering in the gardens is available to p
 eople of all experience levels and abilities. We also encourage children t
 o participate\, so long as a caretaker is available to guide them! \n\nIf 
 you have specific needs or requests\, please do not hesitate to reach out!
