The Missoula County Weed District works to promote and maintain healthy vegetation by minimizing the ecological and economic impacts of noxious weeds through public education, technology transfer, monitoring, and facilitating the involvement of landowners and land management agencies to control invasive species in Missoula County. Our 5 major program areas are:

The Missoula County Weed District is hiring for the Youth in Restoration seasonal crew. This summer job is for high school students ages 15-19. Students will have the opportunity to work with a variety of natural resource professionals while participating in biocontrol collections and releases, monitoring, mapping, weed control, revegetation of native plant communities and more! This position runs for 8-9 weeks beginning the week of June 14th (subject to change), students will work 30-35 hours per week.  For more information follow the education tab, on the left side panel, to find the 2021 application.
