Please join the Missoula County Weed District and Extension on Thursday, March 7th from 6-8 pm for the monthly Blooms & Brews educational series. This series features expert speakers on various topics related to gardening and our natural world and will be held at Building 35 at the Missoula Fairgrounds. Tracy Potter- Fins with County Rail Farm will give an overview of growing vegetables and flowers in your home garden. Tips on starting seeds, planting time for healthiest plants, watering efficiently, protecting plants from frost, and suggested compost applications. She is looking forward to your questions and the dialog that follows! Donations to this series will go towards the creation and maintenance of the 2.5-acre educational gardens that will be adjoining the newly constructed Rocky Mountain Gardens and Exploration Center at the Missoula Fairgrounds, which will be home to the Missoula County Weed District & Extension, the Missoula Butterfly House & Insectarium and the Missoula Conservation District. $10 admission includes 2 drink tickets.
