X-WR-CALDESC:Don't miss this special opportunity to visit with this year's
designers of the Beautiful Blooms garden. \n\nMolly Anton\, RMG Coordinato
r\, and Loni Waters\, Owner of Gardencity Florascaping\, have been working
together since the ground breaking of Rocky Mountain Gardens. This year's
collaboration has resulted in a redefinition of what ornamental gardening
can look like.\n\nJoin us over coffee for a conversation about the inspir
ation for this year's Beautiful Blooms garden\, and the joy that gardening
  can bring. \n\nDate: Saturday\, August 15\, 2026\nTime: 9 - 10 am\nLocati
on: Rocky Mountain Gardens\nFREE\, registration required\n\nABOUT BEAUTIFU
L BLOOMS\nThis annual display garden focuses on seasonal vibrance. Each ye
ar a new designer has the opportunity to explore colors\, textures\, and p
atterns using plants\, and share their vision with countless garden visito
rs.\n\nWhile much of Rocky Mountain Gardens is made up of perennial planti
ngs\, Beautiful Blooms‘ attention to annual species promises a fresh persp
ective on garden design year after year. \n\nThis season\, we focused on a
simple question:\nWhat if edible plants were treated like ornamentals?\n
\nEver plant in this year’s design is edible in some form\, be it leaves\,
flowers\, seeds\, or roots. (Actually\, there is one exception- the vibra
nt green succulent bordering each bed.) We’ve arranged vegetables\, herbs\
, and edible flowers with the same care for color\, texture\, and structur
e that you might expect in a traditional flower garden.\n\nYou’ll see bold
foliage next to delicate blooms and tall stems rising above creeping vine
 s. A mix of familiar and unexpected choices. The goal is to show that food
plants don’t have to be tucked away in rows\, that they can be just as be
autiful and dynamic as any ornamental planting.\n\nThis garden challenges
how we think about what belongs in an “ornamental” space. It’s also an inv
itation: to experiment\, to mix beauty with utility\, and to bring a littl
e more creativity (and maybe a little more food) into your own garden.
