Garden Specialists receive specific training around a particular garden space. Specialist groups operate independently from weekly public volunteer events.
Specialty areas include:
- Tomatoes
- transplanting, pruning, trellising, harvesting, etc.
- Dahlias
- planting, disbudding, harvesting, etc.
- Native Plantings
- weeding & maintaining the Native Prairie, Crevice Garden, & Forest Garden
- Greenhouse (early spring)
- propagation and other greenhouse tasks
- Annual Flowers
- transplanting, weeding, dead-heading, etc. in our Beautiful Blooms garden
- Saturday Garden Ambassadors
- open or close the garden gates, and ensure a safe, respectful environment for all visitors
