Join MNHC and Missoula County Department of Ecology & Extension for a wonderful afternoon exploring Missoula’s native plant gardens!
Native plant gardens promote pollinators, birds, and biodiversity, all while reducing the need for water. On this tour, you’ll visit five different native gardens in Missoula to help inspire you to create your own native plant garden. Learn about what species to use in your garden, where you can find native plants, and best care practices to help your garden thrive! The tour starts at 10:00 AM at the Rocky Mountain Gardens (at the Missoula Fairground). This is a self-driven tour, so you can move through the gardens at your leisure (more information will be provided for registrants). The day ends at MNHC’s Nature Adventure Garden at our Hickory Street location around 3:00-4:00 p.m. where we’ll toast our day with a cool drink!
This tour is available FREE to participants, thanks to a grant from the Montana Native Plant Society and the Missoula Conservation District.
