Meet Callye Foster, Climate Resiliency Coordinator

New Climate Resiliency Coordinator, Callye Foster

Welcome to Callye Foster, Missoula County Department of Ecology and Extension’s Climate Resiliency Educator! Callye is already working hard on an Environmental Protection Agency Grant intending to set up a one-stop-shop resource hub, assisting Missoula County residents experiencing hotter, smokier summers caused by climate change. The one-stop-shop will provide relevant resources, and educational opportunities, and connect residents interested in efficient and cost-saving residential and commercial energy retrofits to technical assistance.

In her free time, Callye is very interested in secondhand fashion, you will find her browsing one of Missoula’s many thrift stores or playing on the river with her pup, Mac.

Before she transitioned to Missoula County, Callye spent the past 6 years with the Montana Campus Network for Civic Engagement (formerly known as Montana Campus Compact), directing two AmeriCorps programs focused on educational equity, community resiliency, and encouraging students to meet their potential for community involvement. Callye moved to Montana almost 10 years ago after finishing her Environmental Studies degree at the University of Central Florida, in Orlando, Florida. She started her Montana journey as the SMART Schools Coordinator for Energy Corp, an AmeriCorps run position.
