Montana Organic Vegetable Expo 2027

January 8–9, 2027 | Missoula, Montana

Growing Knowledge, Strengthening Farms, Building Community

Join fellow farmers, agricultural professionals, and local food advocates for the 2027 Montana Organic Vegetable Expo, a two-day gathering dedicated to strengthening Montana's organic vegetable farming community.

Hosted by Montana State University's Western Agricultural Research Center and the Ravalli County Economic Development Authority, this event brings together growers, researchers, and agricultural experts to share practical knowledge, explore innovative growing practices, and build connections that support successful, sustainable farms.

This year's conference features engaging keynote speakers, interactive breakout sessions, farmer-led roundtable discussions, and opportunities to network with others who understand the unique challenges and rewards of growing food in Montana.

Conference topics include:

Cover cropping strategies for weed management and soil health

Integrated pest management for vegetable production

Garlic variety trials and vegetable seed production

Food safety and FSMA regulations

Farmer well-being and the human side of agricultural sustainability

Whether you're an established organic producer, a beginning farmer, or an agricultural professional supporting local food systems, you'll leave with new ideas, valuable resources, and meaningful connections.

Enjoy locally sourced meals, conversations with fellow growers, and two days of learning and collaboration.
