Seed Collection Workshop: From Plant to Packet
Join the Missoula Master Gardeners, Five Valleys Seed Library, and Phoenixes Rising in The Living Classroom for a hands-on seed collection workshop in our community! This is an OFF-SITE event! FREE & open to public!
Participants will rotate through interactive stations and learn how to:
Identify when seeds are ready to harvest
Collect native plant seeds responsibly
Harvest and save garden seeds
Clean and process collected seeds
Label seeds and keep useful collection records
Dry and store seeds for future planting
You will collect seeds for us and yourself!
You’ll have the opportunity to practice seed collection in the field while learning practical techniques you can use in your own garden or landscape.
Space is limited to just 15 participants to keep the workshop hands-on and interactive.
