Treat broadleaf annual weeds
If broadleaf annual weeds, like dandelions, were a problem last year, check for germination weed seedlings when soil temperatures are >45 degrees Fahrenheit. When weeds are young and tender, they can be sprayed with non-selective herbicides such as acetic acid (vinegar) or certain oils.
