Vegetable Fermentation Basics

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Fermentation is a flavorful way to extend the life of your fresh produce. Learn how simple it is to make nutritious, delicious ferments with your garden goods!

This hands-on workshop will walk you through the basic steps of lacto-fermentation. Beginning with fresh vegetables, you'll go home with a jar that just days away from being fantasically fermented!

We'll also taste a few ferments provided by the instructor.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Alexandra Brown, Rocky Mountain Gardens Program Development Coordinator, is a flavor fanatic. Her life was changed when she was introduced to the magic of fermentation while farming alongside a master preserver in the North Country of New York. Since then, she's been extending the life of her vegetables through fermentation any chance she gets.
